Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, it’s not done yet! The most ultimate game in the franchise is being upgraded as developer CyberConnect2 is working on a “Road to Boruto” edition. The news, from Shuiesha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, reveals there will be a standalone version of the game along with a DLC version, similar to how Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 had a re-release in the form of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3: Full Burst. If you recall, Full Burst added Sage Mode Kabuto as a playable character along with an Itachi and Sasuke vs Sage Mode Kabuto scenario and had that content available via DLC as well for those who owned the original Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 game.
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto will have a new adventure mode scenario with Boruto as the controllable character along with an Adult Sasuke Uchiha vs Kinshiki Otsutsuki story mode battle. It’s expected there will be more content, to be announced at a later date. We do see Mitsuki on the box art. Adult Sasuke Uchiha vs Kinshiki Otsutsuki will be playable at the 2016 Tokyo Game Show, which begins in Japan on September 15.
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto is expected to be released in Japan on February 2, 2017. First-print editions of the physical copy of the game will include a Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto soundtrack and reversible case jacket.
No release date for North America, Europe, or anywhere else has been announced yet, but, we know it’s in the works for other parts of the world as the PC/Steam version recently received updates. Saiyan Island hopes to have additional information as soon as it’s announced!
